Do children growing up in a household where more than one language is
spoken start speaking later than those in homes where only one languae
is spoken?
Definitely not. This is well-established.
AIUI, the onset of speech is a bit delayed, but subsequent progress is
faster, so by the time they're done learning their languages, they're as
fluent in all of them as any monolingual child of the same age.
