I do think so! At least, the younger generation are already used to
hearing English speech sounds from a very young age. So, they don't
find the English sounds strange, and they can easily immitate those
sounds accurately.

But the dubbing into German does increase German-learning
opportunities to me. It's just disappointing that bi-lingual TV
broadcast is not popular in German, not even in Baden, where it
borders France (and Switzerland). My TV set did have a button for
switching language, and it only worked when I was watching ARTe (a
bilingual German-French satellite channel concentrating in culture
programmes). The infrastructure is there, but is underutilized.
