I try a quick transliteration:
gónos and génos have the same origin (g¹en), but génos seems to have a
more general meaning and gónos a more individual one:

tó Dórikon g¹énos = the Doric progeny
Théion g¹énos = Gods' progeny

Diós gónos = Jupiter's son
góno patér = the natural father

Hope my version is helpful

γόνος and γένος have the same origin (γεν), but γένος seems to have a more
general meaning and γόνος a more individual one:

τὸ Δωρικὸν γένος the Doric progeny
θεῖον γένος Gods' progeny

Διός γόνος Jupiter's son
γόνῳ πατήρ the natural father

Oddly, I can see the Greek when elagabalus types it but not when
dicaduca types it (even when elagabalus repeats dicaduca's text).

Except there's an empty box after the o's in _to_ and Dwrikon, and
after the e in theon.
