For me, the problem with linking to Wikipedia is that it's silly to
cite a occasionally erroneous encyclopedia when all of us can find
undeniably reputable references at our university library, most of
which are far more detailed than an encyclopedia could be.
I gather there's no intrinsic reason why a w. entry couldn't be as
detailed as its many authors choose to make it.
Generality or superficiality aren't my objections.
