All,
I've trolled the group a bit and value your collective opinion on
the introduction of "origology" as "the study of origins". I run
OriginTrail.com, an origin wiki similar to wikipedia, and unofficially
"coined" the term in early 2005. My question is this: Does anyone
know of a school of thought encompassing origins in general?
Etymology, for example, would be a subset of origology, which would
itself include origins of words, phrases, customs, art forms, you get
the idea.
