There is no correlation, and I did not mean that you don't
understand something. The "you" in the last part of the sentence
is an impersonal "you" and can be substituted with "one". I
understand that it can easily be misconstrued and I apologize
for not being careful.

Now that I have explained, do you care to answer my question?

So you don't find funny the idea of a plastic whristwatch with a
datasheet in Linear B. All right, I should have expected this.

On the other side I was not insulting your intelligence, as I never
expected you to believe me trying to sell you such a thing. On the
contrary I was of course expecting you to understand at once that I was
not.

But if you had the impression that I was expecting you to believe me
trying to sell you a wristwatch, so excuse me please. I assure you that
I was of course not trying. It was only a joke, really.
