No. Minimal editing sequence is a very standard algorithm covered by
many textbooks on algorithms.

Emacs is not a problem. It's a solution to many problems. :)

Rsync doesn't handle things in _text units_ (e.g. word, sentence,
paragraph). It treats " " and "a" alike.
