Aspirated voiced consonants in English?

dh in Badham seems to be an aspirated alveolar stop in the same sense
that Dh in Sanskrit avagADhavat is an aspirated retroflex stop. So,
would phoneticians who write Sanskrit avagADhavat with a breathy
diacritic also write Badham with a breathy diacritic on the d or would
they follow different phonetic writing conventions when writing
different languages?
