My mother several years after her stroke decided she wasn't going to
swallow -- she had no trouble chewing, but everything would get packed
into the cheeks instead. Except hot dogs. Which made no sense; she
hadn't eaten them in real life, but when they showed up in Meals on
Wheels (once a week, generally), no problem!
