It's been many years since I was in Hebrew School, but it looks like
the Hebrew writing of "Likud."

That isn't a dalet, it's a final khaf.

Not any more, it just warped into a cyrillic small letter k.

Besides, "Likud" has a yud and a vav. See http://www.likud.org.il/.
