I can sing "fa la la la la la la la la"; that doesn't mean it's a

Language is the means of getting help, support and
understanding from those we depend upon in one way
or another --- and every means of getting help, support
and understanding may be called language, on whatever
level of life it occurs (my definition of language from
1974/75).
Suppose you want to build a house and need a credit
from your bank. You may try it with "fa la la la la la ..."
but I doubt that your banker will take you seriously.
If you were a bird and sang something like "fa la la ..."
you might succeed in finding a pretty female. My
Magdalenian serves the purpose of expressing needs
and wishes. Consider my example of a paleo-linguist
going on a time travel to the Guyenne, meeting a lovely
young woman, learning Magdalenian, being invited by
her parents, and addressing them as follows:
OC LIC ABA SA RAA, OC LIC AMA SA RAA,
OC LIC MA OC. Mm NOT TON, LIL MmOS TA,
GID GID ABA SA RAA, GIS GIS AMA SA RAA,
SAI SAI
Pleased to meet you, father of Sarah, pleased
to meet you, mother of Sarah, (and, to Sarah:)
I love you. I myself am a teacher. I desire your
daughter. Give her to me, father of Sarah,
bless us, mother of Sarah, be it so, be it so.
You can use Magdalenian for expressing needs and
wishes. The language works. And a language must
sound pleasantly, the words must be distinct, so
as not to be confounded, in order to minimize the
inevitable misunderstandings. My Magdalenian
fulfills these requirements. Although, until now,
I mostly used words with two vowels and one
consonant. I'll have to write sentences with words
of one vowel and two consonants, but I am rather
confident that also this will work - Serbian, for
example, got many clusters of consonants, and
I find Serbian words that confirm my Magdalenian
reconstructions.
