That's what I said. Did you somehow interpret my "this" as referring to
the previous claim of "lameness"?

always claimed, "One small step for a man, ..." with the "a" lost in a
radio glitch. (You apparently know about radio glitches.)

All I know about this is the discussion on Language Log (or was it
Languagehat?). My impression from that, after all the graphs and
frequency analyses and discription of how various american dialects work
given there, was that whether he said "a", or whether he mispoke (to use
the currently fashionable politician's word), is still a matter of
supreme uncertainty, and may well remain so..
