themselves and the corporations they are heavily invested in.

I'm surprised to hear Rice identified as a corporate leader of the military-industrial complex. I understand that before she joined the government she was on a few boards (Carnegie, Charles Schwab, Chevron, Hewlett Packard, Rand, and Transamerica), but considering that her pre-political career was in academia it's hard to imagine that she's in the same league as Cheney, Rumsfield, or the Bushes when it comes to either investments or personal wealth and influence.

I stand to be corrected there of course!
