Cantonese -- my mother tongue.
But I sometimes dream in English, when the dream is in a context where
English should be heard or spoken. And occasionally in German, when
the context makes sense. I cannot recall any dreams in Mandarin,
though.
I've also had dreams in French and Spanish -- languages that I can
barely speak and understand when spoken slowly. The context was that
I was travelling in those countries and wanted to ask for the way.
So, for me, the dreams are in the languages that make sense in the
context. (And I can only talk about dreams that I can remember.)
