What I say for Serbian is valid for all Slavic languages. As I told
earlier, I think it is quite natural to use your own native language
as an expontent of the whole group of IE languages. Maybe you think
different?

Yes, I certainly do.
I don't think it is natural at all to use any name of a contemporary
language when talking about historical and pre-historical times
before any of them existed. I don't think that makes any sense.

Hardly any of the contemporary Slavic languages existed prior
to, say, 14th century. Then you may have had languages
like Old Russian, Old Bulgarian, Old Czech, etc. and many
dialects of them, but if they ever existed side by side with
their contemporary versions, they would most probably be still
treated as different languages, not just different dialects
of their contemporary versions.

Prior to 11th-9th centuries we would have many dialects
of the Common Slavic and a few thousand years before
then we'd have emerging dialects of the Common IE.

To say things like you have done: "Serbian is older than
Sanskrit by three thousand years" is just insane.

What does it matter whether it makes me happy or not.

You are doing it a disservice by debasing it in public.
It's you who should feel happier if the name were used
only when appropriate.

For instance, Trond Engen blamed me that I was using Serbian as a
"nationalistic weapon" and even confabulated that I allegedlly claimed
that Serbian is "a mother language of all languages". Of course, when
I asked him to explain his hateful assertions and to say openly what
was the meaning of the malicious accusations he has directed to my
address, he decided to remain silent. What a dishonorable creep!
In Serbian, we would call people like Trond - PIČKA! (***!)

What the doctor is doing first when you visite him as a patient? He
scrutinize your appearance, masures your temperature, takes the
laboratory findings and finally connects it with your anamnestic data,
is it not? In order to find the cause of your illness, he must record
your contemporary status and must start looking for cure from your
present condition.

I do not think that I need to say anything more, hoping you are
intelligent enough to understand what I am aiming at. ;-))
