Err, no.
A "Lingua Franca" is something which actually is understood by everyone
in a certain area, regardless of their native tongue.
Spanish for South-America, Latin for the Roman Empire, English for the Internet.
The Lingua Franca is a "full" language.
A Pidgin can arise when only certain parts of the Lingua Franca are adopted
(those needed for trading and eating, eg).
