Did you leave out a zero? Mesopotamian astronomy and astrology would
look far more different from Greek and Indian astronomy and astrology
than it does if that were so!

A complete cycle of precession of the equinoxes takes around 26000 years, so as far as that's concerned 3000 and 29000 years ago are equivalent. Of course, there are other factors changing the appearance of the constellations over longer time spans.

The fact that the Crux is not visible in London, UK has nothing
to do with the precession of the equinoxes.

The fact that the Crux was visible from London and now
it isn't has everything to do with precession of the Earth
axis.

The only relevant
facts are: (1) London is at lattitude 51N; and (2) the Crux is at
an angle of elevation of 60S.

AFAIK, the earth's axis has not changed it tilt by that much
in 3000 or 30000 years; and the continental plates have not drifted
that much either.

(As far as I can tell you know it wrong)

You are right. I wasn't thinking clearly.
