Thai is written using an abugida. The Pahawh Hmong script is an
inverse abugida - it has an implicit consonant rather than an implicit
vowel. The 'Romanised Popular Alphabet' for Hmong uses tone letters.

Hausa is a tonal language written in the Arabic script, but AFAIK its
writing systems do not show tone.
