It has nothing to do with sci.lang. Stop spamming here.
Your opinion notwithstanding, public newsgroups exist for public
information exchange and a group populated by writers of the sci-fi
genre, or those who are interested enough in language to devote
themselves to its study (and write books about it), or those who
participate regularly in groups relating to books are certainly among
those who may have interest in the availability of this free education
and information resource.
Your assumptions aside, the point and purpose of this posting to
Usenet is to reach an audience that is documented to have interest in
the information being offered. As a number of our clients have
mentioned this newsgroup, it was included. The same may be said for
the others selected, regardless the apparent need of some to pretend
their understanding is the only 'right' one in the world. (There are a
number of authors in the diabetes group who have expressed interest
and the referral to post there was received from one of their long-
time members.)
Until they elect one of you as 'King of Usenet' you don't get to
decide for anyone but yourself. If you don't like the post, kill file
it, me, whatever.
Being informed does not involve kissing the ring of would-be nannies
or self-proclaimed group protectors. But, as stated elsewhere, thank
you for the tempest in a teacup. Perhaps someone will discover this
information as a result of it who may have missed it otherwise.
As always, I am available to discuss the coming list and answer any
questions in relation thereto.
