Any pc has notepad, which is a good enough tool to prepare text-only

you are allowed to save a small text file?
Some of these PCs have Explorer or Firefox,
the other ones Word, no connection possible.
Normally I have no problems, but once in a while
a message disappears. Not much of a problem
either, except in a rare case when a long message
is getting swallowed.
I asked for a state of the art definition of a phoneme.
Nobody ready to give me one?
