preactive impulses in decision theory and implications for linguistics

Evidence of what are, for the purposes of this post, called pre-active
cognitive impulses, whereby electrical triggering is detected prior to
subjects being aware of having decided to act, demonstrates that
language has distinct, at least pseudo-, autonomous functions; whether
or not it would be possible to successfully communicate task
requirements without recourse to it.
