Aramaic was spoken by Jesus in the Palestine area back then. Here are
my questions:
q1: Who spoke Hebrew and where was it spoken?
q2: Where was Arabic spoken?
in Arabia and what is now Jordan and southern Syria.
and southern Palestine.
and there was an early king of arab orgin in Edessa who is said to
have accepted christianity in the 1st cent.or so.
Could it have been possible that some of Jesus' neighbors spoke this?
Aretas (Ha:ri*th*) is mentioned as an arabian king around the time.
After all, if Jesus' people were familiar with Persian Zoroastrians
(the 3 wise men from the East were Persians), couldn't it have been
possible that they were familiar with Arabs?
Paul mentions going to "Arabia" (probably what is now Jordan)
.
