I'm finally asking (re French)

After years of not remembering to seek out
a good French-English dictionary that gives
pronunciation info, I have to ask:

How is "cas" pronounced?

As in "en cas de probleme", "en cas de panne" etc.
Is it "ka" or is it, like "gaz", pronounced "kaz"?

While I'm at it, the name Le Chatelier,
is it not pronounce leh sha-tel-lyey?
