Is it really beyond your intellectual capacity to figure out, even if
you have never seen the many references to it before, that "JIES"
stands for Journal of Indo-European Studies, which published Marija
Gimbutas for many years?

So we are not speaking of the same publications.
I am speaking of the Proccedings of the Annual
UCLA Indo-European Conference, and of other
volumes published by the Institute for the Study
of Man at Washington D.C. I never spoke of a
Journal of Indo-European Studies, which I don't
know in the first place. Why, when I asked you
folks what is wrong about the Washington
Institute for the Study of Man did you mention
the JIES ? Is that journal published by the
same institute?

You maintain the charade that you're interested in Indo-European
studies, yet it never occurred to you to discover whether there was a
journal dedicated to that field?

OF COURSE we are not speaking of "the same publications." You are
referring to an irregularly published report of an annual conference,
I to a quarterly journal. The journal, as everyone knows, is published
by the ISM; you indicated that at least some of the UCLA volumes are
published by the ISM. If you look at them _very_ carefully, it's not
impossible that you'll find they are volumes in the JIES Monograph
Series!
