Why shouldn't a translator of poetry make use of prosodic figures in
the target language that were absent from the source language? Why
doesn't your writer cite the Greek originals, [..]

so as to demonstrate
what the poetic features in the original were that have been replaced
by poetic features in the translation? Why does he cite only a 400-
year-old English translation instead of a modern one?
