A nice example is the word "Bruxellait" coined by Jacques Brel. If
you take Bruxelles as the present tense of a hypothetical verb
Bruxeler (Alors là, mon vieux, tu bruxelles!), the imperfect would be
pronounced with a schwa -- which is indeed the way Brel pronounces it
in the phrase "Quand Bruxelles Bruxellait" (ie bru-ce-lait, not bru-
celle-ait).
