Yeah, that makes sense, I suppose. When I first noticed this, a long time ago, I tried changing my settings in various ways to sort this, without success. Since it doesn't happen with the posts from any of the people I care to reply to, other than Peter of course, I've been putting up with it.

For every other purpose except newsgroups (email, browsing, word processing, etc etc etc), I've long ago got decent (that is, non-MS) software. Newsgroups are such a small part of my computing that I'm unlikely ever to consider it worth my while to bother changing from Outlook for them, though.
