This man speaking the introduction has this strange special kind of
lingual r that I heard school children use near Felgueiras (North
Portugal).
What is it, phonetically?
0:30, versão diferente, and in the English loan word "Heart".
He uses it only there, and perhaps in the beginning of the
introduction, but not in between.
I just listened to the beginning of the clip. My impression is that his /r/
sounds slightly retroflex in "a poucas horas" and "versão", but, well,
normal in "master" and "diferente". The distribution seems unpredictable.
