I see. If my memory serves me, the Mohawk were one of the nations of
the original Iroquois League. How much is there mutual intelligibility
between Mohawk and the other languages of the family? Do you
understand Oneida, for instance?

I think there was a very comprehensive Oneida course available on the
Web not long ago, and I printed it out to acquaint myself with a
Native American language. However, I lost both the printout and the
original URL. :(
