Mead-type" study, it really is funny that you *dare* to have opinions
about English as you've expressed here from time to time. It's like John
McCain endlessly criticizing Barack Obama's lack of experience and then
tapping Sarah Palin as his running mate.

I think he is contrasting those superficial and untrustworthy
judgements made on the basis of a few minutes of googling, with his
own anti-linguistics constructed after _many hours_ of googling.
