Surely the definition of "wheel" is that it's affixed to
an axle affixed to the vehicle?
A wheel is affixed to an axle _suffixed_ to a vehicle. The
vehicle is often postfixed to an animate object. (Not
synchronically, though.)
Are you sure that the axle isn't infixed to the wheel (and
to the vehicle, for that matter)?
Brian
The wheel, or the axle, has to be infixed to the axle, or vehicle
respectively, with one degree of freedom to allow unrestricted
declinations; and devoiced with grease.
