You've said several times that you don't think a subset of a set is also
a set. So no, you don't understand even the basics of set theory.
(You've also on at least a couple of occasions said that a subset IS a
set, which means that you don't even understand what you're talking
about enough to know when you're flagrantly contradicting yourself.)

Generally speaking, "a subset of a set is also a set" is a meaningless
sentence, because herein the word "set" is used twice to mean
different things.
Uh, yeah. Most common nouns are applicable to more than one thing. That
thing I drive? It's a car. That thing my neighbor drives? It's also a
car. Is that also meaningless, according to you?

When peeling potatoes you may use language ambiguity as much as you
desire, but science is supposed to live by the strict rules of logic,
and a failure to do so is not good.

Even under the strict rules of logic, my car is a car and my neighbor's
car is a car. Is it your opinion that this is not true?

These are not "strict rules". That's your common sense ituition. Some
people in fact may intuitively think of their neighbor's car as their
own.
