I think the creation of a M.A.D. Fleet would be the perfect new job for
NATO forces since the end of the Cold War and the Berlin Wall torn down
that NATO really has no job.

Yes, the M.A.D. Fleet is like a permanent force to exist on this planet and
is like a permanent fleet starting with Kennedy's fleet that blockaded Cuba
in the 1960s.

So we change the name of NATO to M.A.D. Fleet or keep the name NATO as that
may ring better in the ears of people knowing what the full measure of
devotion that the fleet may some day have to deliver-- the annihilation of
a rogue country that fires nuclear missiles. M.A.D. may sound too harsh and
the word NATO may cover that harshness.

My hope is that some powerful political group of people begin seeing the
sense and logic of forming a M.A.D. Fleet and to avert any and all Nuclear
Wars.

But given the past history of humanity, we seem to always have used ever
weapon system ever invented to its utmost destructibility. That is a bad
portend. That means we have to live through a Pakistan and India nuclear
war or perhaps a China/NorthKorea versus USA nuclear war.

China can easily push the wrong buttons because of Taiwan and NorthKorea
could easily dupe the Chinese into thinking that Taiwan or USA has launched
a strike on China and then China in a frantic moment push the buttons and
launch missiles onto the mainland of USA.

What a M.A.D. Fleet does is turn the world opinion against building nuclear
weapons. No country would want a M.A.D. Fleet parked at its harbors. And to
get rid of this parking means getting rid of its nuclear weapons.

What I have been saying for the past 4 years or thereabouts is that we are
naked without a Physical Force that demands nonproliferation. The M.A.D.
Fleet is such a physical force. And the concept of M.A.D. saved this planet
of a nuclear war between USA and USSR in the Cold War. Ever since the
Berlin Wall came down we have dumped M.A.D. and we are naked without MAD
and vulnerable.

M.A.D. was the last guarantee that people would act and behave rationally
and not jump into a nuclear war.

But ever since the Berlin Wall came down and we dumped M.A.D. we have
witnessed a near nuclear war between Pakistan and India and we have seen
NorthKorea and now Iran building nuclear weapons.

So can humanity break the mold by installing a M.A.D. Fleet or must we
endure a nuclear war or 2 or 3 nuclear wars before humanity comes around to
creating a M.A.D. Fleet.

In a small planet as ours where there are nuclear weapons brimming around
the globe, you need more than talkity talk diplomacy. You need a Physical
Force presence employing the concept of M.A.D. (Mutually Assured
Destruction) to reverse the building and proliferation. You need that final
insurance policy that rational minds will not push the buttons.

In fact if the world had had M.A.D. Fleet in the 1990s and parked it off of
Iraq, then the Iraqis would have fired upon the Fleet planes and caused and
prompted NATO to mandatory regime change of Iraq and leave the aftermath
for the UN to clean up. Today, the Fleet would be parked off the coast of
NorthKorea and another Fleet off the coast of Iran, and not this idle time
wasting revolving door talkity talk.
