because *any digits of pi* appear in order, 1..n

means infinitely many digits.

 it doesn't mean any finite number. (we're talking about pi, its all or nothing)

number means finite number.

any can mean infinite.

adding the clause 'finite number' to any is an ambiguous way to describe infinity
