Rick Ross is also posturing that this letter absolves him of
responsibility in the mistakes that lead up to the death of the Branch
Davidians. Since he was one of the primary advisors of the BATF during
this operation, it does nothing of the kind. Indeed, some consider him
the author and source of the BATF's "seriously flawed assumptions" and
when "the authorities made mistakes" they often did so on his advice.
