Thanks for the reference; I enjoyed reading about Frege's Principle,
though I can't say that I'm convinced by it at this point:

Which leads to a bit of a digression, though perhaps one more
interesting than the actual topic:

That may explain why one of Torkel's oft-used tactics is to ignore the
bulk of a post and comment on one word or phrase out of context (as
he's done here with 'self-proving procedure'). Conscious tactic or
not, it's apparently quite successful: note that even after
considerable after-the-fact explanation on your part, many readers
still don't know what you mean by the phrase, and some have given up
even trying to know.
