I'm afraid I indeed expressed myself too quickly, in a fashion that might lead to misunderstanding, and in a manner that betrays that I am not a native speaker. I meant to say that David borrowed a phrase of yours, "sick ***", but did not in any way rely on you as an authority on anything. His reference to you, "George", was only as the utterer of the phrase "sick ***".

Clear as a bell. In fact, in order to tell you
how helpful your explanation was, I'll have to borrow one of your
phrases, that inspirational one from Mr. Franzen's commemorative
thread: "idiotic rambling and imperviousness to logic."
