Are you aware that a growing number of people
are blocking all posts originating from Google?
i.e. from the Google Groups interface.
I was even more paranoid when that was being
spelled "originating from GG".

LOL!

Which no doubt
SOME people think might ALSO be a good idea,
and many have already implemented.

and then get a decent news server.

News CLIENT, you mean, if you are complaining
about @'s in my posts. Although I wouldn't mind
a better server as well. I'm open to suggestions.
I did not actually see a lot at the link; more just filters.

I see you're using Mozilla -- the Thunderbird e-mail client
has an integrated news-reader (I read on their site).

Also, there free news readers like Forte Free Agent.

Once you have a news reader installed, we can find you
a news server.

Google sucks (tm).
