Hi, im preparing for a summer module coming up in data analysis, and
am looking through past papers, and theres certain questions that
keep
coming up which im struggling to do
this is an example one from a previous year ive been having problems
with
A manufacturer produces tins of tomatoes. the can states that the net
drained weight of the content is 240 grams. A random sample of tins
was drawn and the drained weight was determined in each case. the
results were:
Drained Weight (grams) Frequency(No of tins)
Below 220 4
220-225 12
225-230 14
230-235 32
235-240 36
240-245 28
245- 250 10
over 250 2
What throws me is the fact theres 5 values within each of the drained
weight samples ( eg 5 in each = 220-225
1) calculate the mean drained weight?
calculate standard deviation? I no how this is done, but not in this
working example as the
Calculate the coefficent of correlation?
any help would be brilliant thank you
