Re: Molybdnenum



Years ago, there was a little mining town in northeastern New Mexico
where molybdenum was extracted (now a ghost town). The miners could not
pronounce the name, so they called the town Molly-be-damned.
During WWII, there was a shortage of Tungsten and Cobalt for making
tool steel. Molybdenum was offered as a substitute, and it worked in
many applications. I suppose you could reverse the substitution in many
