Very well, Gerry: as far as "nobody" giving a "rat's ass" (and given
that your ID implies - not proves - that you are Canadian: as a Brit, I
suggest: "arse" is what you meant, surely - donkeys don't come into this, do
they?) goes, and the suspicion about the specific religion: I submit that my
inference about the OP's religion is the most likely - not to mention
utterly typical; and that your assertion that "nobody" - or, indeed, nöone -
gives the proverbial is merely your (utterly bigoted) opinion. This I assert
(or, should that be, "opine"?) If you disagree, then I won't sink to the
depths of advising you into which orifice of yours (or anyone else's, for
that matter) you should shove your _own_ "gross innuendo" ... let
alone how far! As for "credibility", compare your suggestion with my
original one.

How do you know what qualiification(s) I have to offer advice? I think
that the Christian injunction concerning motes and beams might just be one
about which you, Gerry, need to give more than a little thought. My purpose
was to suggest that the OP ought to do his/her/its thing in some group other
than one dedicated to numerical analysis - it might be _vastly_ better for
him/her/it to do so. (That is why the phrase "as expressed in this place"
was included - or did you skim over it?) And, since you adopt the assertion
that I am
ill-qualified to offer advice - what qualifications do you have? (Look mine
up, if you will - you might be surprised: I am more than a mere
mathematician ...)

I bear no torches for the former USSR, or indeed, any such states. But,
then, since I only use the word "normal" in respect of certain types of
distributions: so what?

I will say (type!) no more - my bullshit filters are now utterly
clogged. Please read more _carefully_ before indulging in such elisions.

I add just this: my apologies to members of this group who have to put
up with the kind of obnoxious ballocks (<it>sic</it>) from creatures
masquerading as
human beings, such as this Gerry Thomas ...
