Hello,
I have a nonlinear equation with time dependency. The plot of the
function is a ripple (like a sine wave). More ever, it has four
variables and I am trying to find out the values of these four
variables (or combination of variables) for which the amplitude of the
ripple would be minimized. I am a mechanical engineer and does not
have a great knowledge about numerical techniques for optimization. I
am advised to study the generalized newton's method to solve this
problem.
Would anyone tell me if this method is suitable or suggest any other
method. Is there any Matlab code available anywhere which i could
download and study/use for my purpose?
Thanx
Viral
