Augustine was talking about astrologers and numerologists, not
Euclid--the mathematics involved was calculating the position of the 365
heavens of the god Abraxas. (Naturally, if there are any Gnostics on
this group, I apologize deeply.) If you'd actually read it, you'd
probably agree with him: See
