Indeed, but hardly unique to MapleSoft, not that that's an excuse.
Consider an ongoing behavior by Intel. They've been promoting their
dysfunctional Fortran "Visual" compiler in an endless bug repair cycle
as an upgrade, no less, to the leading CVF compiler, even though it's
for the command-line *only*.
Well, market said no, but your "friendly" monopolist was not to be
deterred - they apparently managed to "convince" HP (acquired CVF) to
stop selling it, to make room for their compiler joke of the century.
In this case, users unplugged Intel energizer bunny by simply saying
*NO*, but, in addition, let the Feds do the rest by reporting the
market abuse: antitrust@xxxxxxx
.
