matrix and arbitrary precision math

I need a tool to compute matrix operation
(sum, multiplication,inversion,determinant) on matrix
whose element need to be arbitrary precision.
Real numbers are ok, complex would be even better.

Maple seems to fit my needs:
is there an open source or GNU program that could to the job?
