Hi, everyone,
I have a question about the coauthor things.
I am working on my doctoral dissertation, someone thought I can
cooperate him for a working paper on the same topic!
I do not know how it works, if I cooperate with someone else, it will
affect my dissertation? Any suggestions about that? I totally have no
idea of this things.
Thanks you!
Your best course is to talk to your supervisor about this. Or is there
a problem with that?
But generally, I don't see that having a coauthor can be a problem,
before or after you get the Ph.D. In fact, if the coauthor is from
another place, it is often seen as a good thing that you make contact
with others outside your own place. But in any case, you do need to
inform your supervisor.
