Is there a finite limiting value for f(s) at s=1 and/or s = -1 ??

As a footnote, the coefficients GM(m), m=1,9 yield a zero value for:
sum[m=1 to 9]GM(m)*sin(m*acos(s)) at s=1 and s= -1. (**)

if the zero would occur for numerator in (*) you could apply
l'Hospitals rule but up to the sign (*) is the derivative of (**)
