Automorphism groups of classical matrix groups

Anyone out there have a pointer to the literature on where I can find
what's known about the automorphism groups of classical matrix groups
(in characteristic 0)? I don't know anything about algebraic K-theory
(google suggests this is where the results would come from, but offers
no further help) and have only dim memories of K-theory at all. Thanks!
