Minor terminology correction: "regression" has a different meaning in
English: return to a previous (less perfect) state.
If a bug wasnt present in a previous version it is just a new bug.
The kind you noticed is often an interface or address spillover bug.
If one programs in raw C or C++ those happen all the time with minor
code changes because of the lack of interface and memory allocation
controls.
