i am about to give hear, i want to install maple V on linux and am
having trouble. i have maple 9 on this system, but i need to use some
packages that are only available for maple v. so i am trying to
install maple v in a user account.
for your info, i am running gentoo.
i followed the installation instructions but when i try to run maple i
get the error
./maple: line 161: /home/maplevlogin/maple/bin_IBM_INTEL_LINUX/mapleTTY:
No such file or directory
./maple: line 161: /home/maplevlogin/maple/bin_IBM_INTEL_LINUX/mapleTTY:
Success
if you go to maple's site, they say to install the rpms
* ld.so-1.9.5-11.i386.rpm
* libc-5.3.12-31.i386.rpm
(this is if you are trying to install it on redhat 7). so i got the
rpms extracted the files and put them in the users ~/lib and ~/usr
directory.
i set the LD_LIBRARY_PATH variable to include those directories, but
that has not worked.
any ideas would be appreciated.
